HAUNTS AND TRENCHES:
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WORLD ENDS (?) (2021)
TIETA MACAU + ABEJU RIZZO + ELTON PANAMBY + INAÊ MOREIRA (MA) (CE) (BA) (SP)
"The bottom of the ox's black eyes is floater's science"
(caboclo's oriki)
Take the vision. Focus your eyes on a blurred, inky, red image. Give me your eyes. Engulfing the night and day of the dark river bottoms, rocks in golden stone beds, arrivals coming from leagues, from plurisonic forests (do you feel the damp taste, from composting to the verdant?), turning tides, from the stones of (en) stonework: we come from leather already remade to give blows of sight. Multi-sensory creation, which spans multiple platforms, Hauntings and Trenches is a figure in time, ancestral glitch and historical delay. Spear thrown over the colony, machete wielded to protect offspring, presences that do not end in a necroptic framework, but scaly meander through the abyss. Trench that is open astonishment, be crossed at the crossroads, be squatting in the marsh. I figure fast sailing. Firefly and pearl. For whom and how does the end end? The calligraphy is spiraled, so to get in, take off your shoes. Ago.
